A lovely gallery full of chickens pictures! Wonderful!
| http://www.jasiri.com/calpine/ | These very frendly couple emailled me to
show me the pictures of their chickens, and showed me their website which
narrates their moving house and making a secure place for the chickens to
live in the back garden. They have about 20 chickens, all with different
names, and some hilarious stories happen with them. How lucky...how lovely.~ Click here for the direct photos of chickens |

Don't bother with B&Q or your local pet shop horrible birds' food, think about your wild birds health, and get them some food which is grown without pesticides and fungicides: organic. This is the best if you really care about them. Unfortunatly these people do not sell wild seeds that some birds may like. They only sell the normal peanuts, sunflower seeds, currants,wheat-oats-fishmeal-millet seeds. Still better than dodgey non organic rubbish. And the birds thrive on it...I have so many now I don't know what to do with them!!!

The seeds you will not find anywhere else: just for birds! Thistle, Safflower, buckwheat, juniper berries, Mountain ash berries,Teasel, Plantain seeds, Chicory seeds, and even ground oystershell to help the birds digest! I have not tried them yet, unfortunatly they are not organic, and I don't know if the birds would really eat it. As they already don't eat the mixed wild birds seed from the local petshop. (with niger seeds and small seeds like that) ah well.

| www.steetleybentonite.com | All the clay you need for building a natural clay pond in your back garden, wether it is used for mud baths, wrestling, or as a birds' bath. The clay they sell is natural, some of it treated with sodium carbonate or if you prefer, you can order Wyomming clay, as seen with mud wreslers. I went for this option, not knowing wether the sodium carbonate did alter the therapeutic value of the clay or not... Clay bags, 25kg, from £40 . | |

The suppliers of clay from the link above. They also sell things to stop your pond going green with algae after you have made your pond with clay. I haven't tried it yet, I m still digging the pond... |

Ladybirds are good pest control they say. So i tried it, because I have lots of bastards blackflies eating my broad beans and Bergamot plants. Quite a few ladybirds larvaes (they have legs!!??)were dead when they were delivered, the lacewings I also ordered were ok, but they don't seem to have eaten much blackflies. Maybe the ones from this shop are vegetarian. :-(
